December 3, 2008 Peggy was named an Honorary Silly Chick on the Three Silly Chicks blog in recognition for her work researching and writing about the Seagoing Cowboys. |
August 3, 2011 Peggy has received an Individual Artist Program Grant from the Indiana Arts Commission with the support of the National Endowment for the Arts for Fiscal Year 2012 for her YA historical novel-in-progress, Finding Charity. The grant will enable her to attend the Big Sur Children's Writing Workshop in California in December, 2011. |
